[ last month, I hosted a get-together for a small group of friends that I very appropriately named "coffee & color" as we enjoyed good coffee and getting in touch with our elementary-school-aged selves as we colored away; I threw together a playlist at the last minute, which I've come back to a few times as it makes for quite a nice atmosphere on those slow weekend afternoons, and now I'm sharing it with you. It's a mix of old & new soul, funk, w/ some low-key 80s alt (Blondie, Talking Heads) to add a bit of uniqueness to the genre mix, all while keeping the vibe consistent; enjoy! ]
