[ I’m resharing a concept playlist I created in partnership with my agency, Cassette Music, and our friends at Hotels Above Par, as part of the second installment in a city × music × travel series. The idea came from my own desire to explore a sexy French electro / nu-disco mood that feels timeless and deeply rooted in Parisian culture, but with a contemporary, of-the-moment edge. I kept coming back to the French apéro - that cherished in-between hour after work and before dinner, when the city slows down just enough for drinks, small plates, and the promise of the night ahead.

As a nod to that tradition, I shaped this playlist as a soundtrack to Parisian apéro culture: music you might hear drifting out of a great bar or intimate listening room, moving seamlessly with that relaxed-but-energized early-evening vibe. Rather than pulling from well-known French names, I wanted to spotlight newer, emerging, or lesser-known French artists across this sonic lane. The idea is that if you were apéro-hopping across the city, one of these tracks could easily be playing—a reflection of Paris’s early-evening rhythm and the quiet excitement of what’s about to unfold ]
